The Golden Apple V2 switch is the successor to the BSUN Golden Apple tactile switch. This time, they are manufactured by Wingtree - the tactile switch expert.
Similar to V1, the V2 also comes with a PEI bottom housing. It gives the switch a vibrant golden color, hence the name golden apple. This is also the first time that Wingtree uses the LY stem on a switch.
Overall, the Golden Apple V2 switches are medium toned thocky sounding, and the medium to large tactile bump is super satisfying to type with.

Yes! Stem legs and stem sliders are covered with a very thin coat of 205g0. The spring and leaf are lubed with dry film. Everything else is dry. There is no lube in the bottom housing or anywhere near the stem pole. The chance that these get lube pooling issue is very small.

This was my first time trying a PEI material, and what stood out to me was how soft it felt—the bottom-out was really satisfying.
I’m not sure whether the louder typing sound is specifically because of the PEI material, but there’s no doubt that the combination of materials and the long pole is producing some seriously loud clacks.
Beautiful switch with a pleasant, medium tactility while still sounding unique. Great pickup for anyone who enjoys tactile switches and want to try something new.
2nd ever tactile switch i have tried and this one is interesting. the gateron type R's were my first and i loved them, but they were a bit strong, so i picked these up and their smoother, more consistent with only 2 badish ones, and are a lighter p shape but noticable bump thats perfect for me. they are deeper than type r's and are almost as perfect. two issues, these have a slight tick too them which are good enough too deal with, but most importantly, i have boards with only plastic plates atm, and these sound a bit plasticy, its different and i think the neo80cu with the PEI plate does a good job at making it sound good but it isnt in my preferences, i cant wait to try these in an alu plate to balence them since they have my prefered tactility.
Was an amazing deal for me! I got some great switches at a great price, and the shipping was fast. Unikeys is my first place to go when I’m looking to buy switches.
It has a solid tactile feel, and while the sound is loud, it’s not overwhelming—it hits a nice sweet spot.
I tested it with three different plate materials (CF, PEI, and Alu), and PEI was my favorite because it gave the switch a more composed and grounded sound.
These switches are every bit as good as everyone says, smooth, nice sounding, firm tactile bump. This is probably the BEST mid-bump tactiles I have ever tried. A lot (most) of the mid-bump tactiles sorta of feel wobbly (even if they're not) to me and this one doesn't really have this issue. Another banger switch from Wingtree!
