The Sillyworks Project Rehash pays homage to the roots of mechanical switches, specifically revisiting the Gateron KS-3 MX black switches that debuted nearly a decade ago. The foundation of this venture rests on the classic KS-3 designs, with the production of the SLAY switches employing an advanced 8-point injection molding technique. Despite the increased production cost, this method significantly enhances precision.
To further refine the design, Sillyworks introduced a modification to the SLAY switch stem pole, aiming for a distinctive 4.0mm full travel switch with a stem pole bottom-out experience. The objective is to achieve a clear and concentrated sensation upon bottoming out.
It's worth noting that the factory lube applied to the SLAY switches is quite conservative. This marks the first instance of Gateron utilizing a grease-based lubricant in conjunction with automatic lubing production lines.
