MW Anushirvanis inspired by ancient Persia. One of the monumental cultures and polities of the classical period that is perhaps less represented in the keeb world (yea we have GMK Sparta and Gladiator and tons of China-inspired stuff over at zFrontier). Persian culture, religion and aesthetics bears lasting influence to not only the Iranian plateau, Mesopotamia, but also impacts much of the wider Islamic world and beyond. Overall this has been a very fun project.
"Anushirvan" is the epithet of Shapur I, one of the greatest monarchs of Sassanian Persia. It means "the immortal soul" and encapsulates how I feel about one of the great cultures to ever exist.
Colour scheme is loosely inspired by the idea of dualism in Persian culture and religion, namely the struggle between light and darkness, as well as fire and water which are important symbols in ancient Persia.
I expected some color in the keycaps based on the renders and kitting but they're just black. I will avoid this manufacturer's UV printing in the future as it is way too raised to be comfortable. Very smooth texture ABS, not my favorite but everything feels like this after a while anyway.
Overall the quality from MW is good. Caps are about 1.4mm, sound is on the brighter/clackier side but not GMK volume.
Though some of this design's choices give me mixed feelings, I would buy more MW in the future if the design clicks and it doesn't use UV printing. It's great to have more quality options in a lower pricing tier.
I like the Color Theme of that set and the vibe of it.
Overall good set but im not happy with the hard uv printing on the novelties and the alphas. I ordered the alpha kit to get around that so its ok. I hope tripleshot will be the standard in future.
