The Keygeek X Unikeys Purple Dawn switch is a switch that has been under development for more than one year. They are manufactured by Keygeek using the newest housing and stem molds which ensure reduced stem wobble, solid and clean bottom-out sound and feel, and subtle top-out sound. Unlike the older generation of Keygeek MX style switches, the current ones no longer sound "noisy".

Specs and material-wise, The Keygeek Purple Dawn switch comes with a PA66 top housing and a blend POM stem for guaranteed smooth travel. The bottom housing is made of PBT +30% fiberglass and it definitely CLACK.

Left is keygeek PA, right is purple dawn Definitely on the middle end sound and pitch wise. A bit deeper than the PAs, but I’d still qualify them as clacky. I’m not the biggest fan of them really only because of the weight. They’re just a little too heavy for me, but I can just spring swap them. Overall a solid switch!

These switches sound very full and have a deep sound signature (coming from HMX switches). They also feel great with the travel and actuation force. However, a complaint I have is about 40% of my switches (I bought 90) came over lubed in the bottom housing stem hole, making them sound and feel mushy as well as about 3-5 switches had some pinging in them. Otherwise a great switch choice if you prepare yourself for some lube cleaning/reapplying.

Unexpectedly awesome. Smooth and tight with the clack of HMX switches, but less thin than even HMX’s deeper switches. (Alternatively, they remind me a lot of SWK switches w/o the syringe effect those can have.) No ticking despite having a blended POM stem, either.
