The HMX Puppy is an early, large-bump tactile switch tuned for an exceptionally thocky sound profile. To push the pitch lower, it pairs a lower-fiberglass P4 bottom housing with a softer H2 stem and a large spherical stem tip, reducing the sharpness of the bottom-out.
Early large-bump tactile switches can rebound strongly, so Puppy uses a PA22 top housing—a modified PA12 material—to help reduce return noise and keep the sound character focused on a deep, thocky profile. The tactile transition is rounded and gentle rather than sharp or finger-poking.
Its 3.5mm travel is balanced for typing, giving a more substantial feel without becoming tiring over long sessions. A light guide column is included for even RGB illumination without color shift.
