I initially purchased the KEYGEEK Su 50g and was very very pleased. So I decided to get the 45g version for another board just to feel.
Unikeys graciously sent me 10 samples of the HMX Moksae Silent Tactile Switch (Thank you Unikeys!). I installed those on my Nuphy GEM80 at backspace, \|, Enter, spacebar, left and right shifts, and WASD.
Now I really want to change everything to the Moksae because the of the deep creamy sound. They actually sound better (deeper, but a bit silent) than the KEYGEEKS. The sound coming from the ENTER and Spacebar is almost killing me with joy. You can use these in the office environment and co-workers will only want you to tell them how they can obtain these switches. I now wish I had a whole set for my GEM80.
The Keygeek (45g) are going into my Halo96 from Nuphy. I wish I had an iPhone to records the sounds for you guys.
If it was possible, I would give these switches 10 stars. 5 stars are not anywhere near enough.
Love these HMX Moksae switches. I have been using them for about a week and they're nice and tactile without being too silent, which was what I was looking for in a muted, tactile switch. Perfect for my use case. Compared to the Outemu Silent Lemon switches, which is what I was using prior to the Moksaes, they are much more audible and heavier than the Lemon switches, but that's what I like. Slight scratchiness in the Moksaes, but it doesn't bother me.
These are my favorite switches right now, and they’re going to be hard to beat. My 3 favorite switches are all HMX, in fact (Moksae Tactile, Pink Peach Linear, and Lulu Linear). If you’re looking for a pleasant feel without being overly heavy, these are it! If you want semi-silent, deep thock, these are it! I think I’ll eventually buy another full set to stash in case they get discontinued. I love them that much!
These are nice tactile switches, not too heavy, but not light enough to accidentally actuate. They are quiet, but not completely silent, which is exactly what I wanted for my office keyboard. Best of all, they don't feel mushy on the bottom out. I ordered 100 switches and a handful of them did have bent pins, but I had enough for the whole keyboard so it wasn't a big deal.
