Yes! Stem legs and stem sliders are covered with a very thin coat of 205g0. The spring and leaf are lubed with dry film. Everything else is dry. There is no lube in the bottom housing or anywhere near the stem pole. The chance that these get lube pooling issue is very small.

Recently picked up the HMX Cthulhu Linear Switches from Unikeys. The reviews were already great, but seeing them in person — the aesthetic, the color, the overall look — I knew I’d want them even if they didn’t sound good. 😅
Luckily, they sound just as amazing as they look: loud, clear, clacky, yet full‑sounding, with a spring weight that feels spot‑on, for me at least. 👌
This is definitely another favorite in my rotation of switches. Excited to try them out on different boards and configurations 😊💜
the cthulhu switches have a really nice loud sound, not overbearing. the switch is very smooth and is a nice weight for my infernum keyboard setup. the purple top housing is a beautiful color, it looks crazy in the right lighting. wish the bottom housing was transparent too but regardless its a fantastic switch and I've been using it for gaming and typing. if you like hmx switches, these are a top tier clacky/snappy switch.

I had been wanting to try these when I saw that they dropped, mainly because I am kind of a Cthulhu fan (which is funny to say). I was pleasantly surprised about the deeper sound signature and solid bottom out which is a trait common on most HMX sets. I think that if you're looking for this really solid sound and a nice middle weight feeling spring, then this is a great switch. It's not Lunar Stone, but it's definitely up there. The one thing to note is that this is best on a keyboard with no RGB or purple, because the Black bottom housing and clear purple tops will dim the RGB and tint it a little purple. So keep that in mind. But this is a really nice switch and I recommend it!
