Four listed operating-force choices cover lighter to firmer linear keypresses.
Keygeek T2 Linear Switch
Keygeek T2 is an OG style linear switch designed by MZ Studio and manufactured by Keygeek. A few features that make them special is
- Scratchiness
- BUT still feels smooth (?)
- Super loud and clacky
This is Keygeek's first switch that uses the POM+Kevlar blend, which is a great material choice for a solid and clacky bottom out sound. Both the N1 top housing and the P1 bottom housing are well-balanced "clacky" materials which give the T2 switch a nice, full, and clacky sound profile.
The G1 stem and N1 top housing come with a sandy surface texture which is where the scratchy feeling come from.

Intentional Texture & Clack
A Linear Switch That Does Not Try to Hide Every Bit of Texture
Designed by MZ Studio and manufactured by Keygeek, the T2 takes a different route from ultra-polished linears. UniKeys describes it as intentionally scratchy in feel while still moving smoothly, with a loud and distinctly clacky bottom-out.
The product description attributes this character to a G1 stem, N1 top housing and P1 bottom housing. It also identifies the T2 as Keygeek's first switch using a POM + Kevlar blend, chosen to support a solid, clacky bottom-out sound.
Specification Guide
Four Spring Weights with 3.8mm Total Travel
The T2 is offered in four spring options. The material stack and 3.8mm total travel remain consistent, while the spring choice changes how light or firm the switch feels through the press and at bottom-out.
The bottom-out options progressively increase resistance at the end of travel.
The listed pre-travel indicates the distance before actuation.
The T2 retains a longer travel feel than many shortened-travel modern linears.
Material & Surface Character
G1 Stem, N1 Top Housing and P1 Bottom Housing
The T2's feel is not presented as glass-smooth. UniKeys specifically calls out a sandy surface texture on the G1 stem and N1 top housing, which contributes to the deliberately textured or scratchy sensation described on the page.
- G1 stem material with the product description referencing a POM + Kevlar blend.
- N1 top housing and P1 bottom housing chosen around a fuller clacky sound.
- The 37g, 45g and 53g bottom-out variants use 22mm single-stage springs.
- The 63.5g bottom-out variant uses an 18mm single-stage spring.
Factory Lubrication
Light Lubrication with a Mostly Dry Bottom-Out Area
The T2 is factory lubed, but the application is intentionally restrained. UniKeys lists a very thin coat of 205g0 on the stem legs and sliders, dry-film lubricant on the spring and leaf, and no lubricant in the bottom housing or around the stem pole.
This is an important part of the T2's design intent: the switch keeps more of its raw surface and bottom-out character rather than using heavy lubrication to soften or mute the sound and feel.
Sound, Feel & Build Fit
Who Is the Keygeek T2 Most Likely to Suit?
The T2 is aimed at builders who actively want audible clack and a little mechanical texture. It is not positioned as a silent switch or as an ultra-smooth linear with every trace of surface feel removed.
May Suit
- Clacky keyboard builds where a louder, more direct bottom-out sound is desirable.
- Users who enjoy some intentional surface texture in a linear switch.
- Typists or gamers who want multiple spring weights within the same switch platform.
- Builders looking for 3.8mm total travel rather than a strongly shortened-travel linear.
May Not Suit
- Users who want silent or heavily damped switches.
- Anyone who equates a premium linear feel with zero audible or tactile scratch texture.
- Builds specifically targeting a deep, muted thock as the primary sound goal.
- Users who prefer tactile or clicky feedback instead of linear travel.
Before You Order
Pick a Spring Weight and Calculate the Number of Packs
One quantity contains 10 switches. Select the preferred bottom-out option—37g, 45g, 53g or 63.5g—then order enough 10-switch packs for the keyboard layout.
The current product page does not make a universal compatibility claim. Before ordering a full set, compare the switch format and product photos with the PCB, plate and mounting requirements of your keyboard.
Product Questions

Yes. The T2 is a linear mechanical keyboard switch, so it does not use a tactile bump or click mechanism.

What sound profile is the T2 designed for?
The product page describes the T2 as loud and clacky, with the material combination chosen for a solid, full clacky bottom-out character.
What materials are listed for the T2?
The specification table lists a G1 stem, N1 top housing and P1 bottom housing. The product description also states that this is Keygeek's first switch using a POM + Kevlar blend.
What force options are available?
UniKeys lists 32g, 40g, 48g and 53g operating-force variants, paired with 37g, 45g, 53g and 63.5g bottom-out options.
What are the travel specifications?
The T2 is listed with 2.0mm pre-travel and 3.8 ± 0.2mm total travel.
How is the T2 factory lubed?

Very nice feeling switches, exactly what I'd expect from keygeek. They're very loud and high pitch, the scratch is there but it's really subtle. Would recommend!

KEYGEEK T2 LINEAR switches on an Acrylic Tofu60 Redux v2 with a Brass Plate, topped with PBTfans Resonance R2. Produces a tight, clear, and well‑defined feel that suits the acrylic case perfectly.

I never thought I'd love a scratchy switch. I was wrong. These are amazing! It's a joy to type on because the nice sound they produce is amplified with the scratchy texture which gives a lovely haptic feedback to my fingertips so much so I'm planning all my next purchases with scratch being a major factor alongside sound.

I love them – they’re clacky and have a slight scratchy sound, which makes them perfect for everyday wear.

Tested on neo80cu pei plate with gmk olivie nior and top mount with no foams. I did not expect these to be very loud, usually keygeek is somewhat known to have that plastic sound but the scratch overwhelms it i would recommend this for who wants a loud scratchy switch.

Good!!! I like it.

The only other switch besides MX Blacks that make me want to buy more. Super loud with a full-sounding clack. Less scratchy than MX blacks but it's still there. Will probably buy more at some point.

These are very clicky and smooth, I like them a lot
