Keygeek Doro Linear Switch

1 quantity = 10 switches.

Keygeek Doro is Muse Lab’s first switch: a factory-lubed linear designed around an unusual pairing of coarse, granular texture and a thocky/creamy sound. It delivers a pronounced, even “coarse-sand” feel throughout the full press without becoming too bright or sharp—creating a solid, restrained typing character for a different kind of linear experience.

This is the first Keygeek switch to feature the F4 Kevlar-blend stem. The F4 Kevlar-blend stem offers self-lubricating properties to preserve smoothness alongside its textured feel. Combined with the N2 fiberglass-reinforced bottom housing and a 7-spheres stem mold, Doro is tuned for a deeper, more substantial sound that suits focused typing and office use.

Highlights

  • Distinct coarse, granular feel from top to bottom of the travel
  • Deep, muted sound profile—textured without becoming crisp
  • F4 Kevlar-blend stem balances texture with smooth movement
  • Available with 45g bottom-out / 17mm spring or 53g bottom-out / 20mm spring

Factory Lubing

Stem legs and sliders receive a very thin coat of 205g0. The spring and leaf are dry-film lubed; all other areas remain dry, including the bottom housing and the area around the stem pole. This approach preserves the switch’s distinctive texture while minimizing unwanted noise and the chance of lubricant pooling.

Keygeek Doro Linear Switch

Designed by Muse Lab and manufactured by Keygeek, Doro takes a different approach to the linear-switch experience: the current UniKeys description emphasizes a deliberately coarse, granular feel during travel. It is a factory-lubed switch sold in 10-piece quantities with 45g and 53g bottom-out options.

What makes it different

Most linear-switch descriptions focus on minimizing texture. Doro is positioned for people who actively want to notice that texture as they press a key. That distinction matters: it should not be presented as a conventional ultra-smooth linear or as a tactile switch with a designed bump.

Feel & sound

Intentional texture, not a tactile bump

The listing describes an F4 Kevlar-blend stem, a PA66 top housing, and an N2 bottom housing identified as PA66 with 20% fiberglass. Its factory-lubing notes describe a thin application on selected contact surfaces while leaving other areas dry. These are published product descriptions, not independent material or acoustic test results. The page also includes third-party sound-test videos; use them as examples of specific builds, not a universal sound guarantee.

Who should consider it?

Doro makes sense for a buyer who wants an intentionally textured linear switch rather than a conventional polished feel. If you strongly dislike friction-like feedback, compare another linear model before committing to a full build. Its sound will depend on the rest of the keyboard, so the published thocky description should be treated as a preference cue.

Before you buy

Compatibility and installation checks

Confirm your board’s physical switch and socket compatibility before ordering. The public product description does not explicitly verify the pin count, socket compatibility, or whether the pictured switch bottom represents every force variant.

Switch compatibility depends on the actual switch hardware and keyboard design; confirm with the relevant manufacturer or your keyboard documentation.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is Doro a tactile switch?

No. The published product type is linear; the described texture is not the same as a designed tactile bump.

What spring options are listed?

UniKeys lists a 17 mm spring with a 45g bottom-out option and a 20 mm spring with a 53g bottom-out option.

Is the coarse feeling intentional?

Yes. The current product description positions Doro around a granular, coarse-texture feel.

How many switches are in one quantity?

The listing states 10 switches per quantity.

Can I assume it will fit any hot-swap board?

No. Check your board’s socket and the switch’s actual pin arrangement first.

Customer Reviews

I think the description undersells just how scratchy this switch is. It's by leaps and bounds the scratchiest switch I've had under my belt, unfortunately not in an endearing way. There is no smoothness at all to it. Sound is unfortunately pretty dull as well.
