The HMX K01 tactile switch is HMX's first-ever light-tactile switch to be released. The smaller tactile bump creates a comfortable typing feel with moderate tactile feedback, which is optimal for long-term typing duty and daily use. Technically, these are a long pole switch, but the stem pole is not extended by much; A 3.8mm travel distance makes the bottom out solid but not abrupt.
Material-wise, we went with the classic non-modified PA66 housing and POM stem for the K01 light tactile switch; Such material choice maintains the classic HMX clack and doesn't make the switch sound overly loud and high-pitched. They sound clean and crisp overall, and I don't have to tell you how pleasant they will sound on your keyboard.
The top housing comes with a matted texture just like the HMX Sonja and Sonja HC switches to create a grainy, scratchy feeling during typing.
Important to note: When buying X90 or more switches, they will come in our brand-new switch container.

nice sound! Wobble is less. It feels like a mixture of blue, brown, and black switches,

It’s like MX Browns but so much better and with the quintessential HMX crispy clack!

Very nice sounding and feeling tactiles. Just the perfect amount of scratch. The bump is similar to MX Browns.

Awesome light tactile. HMX is crushing with these new light tactiles. As a tried and true linear fan, I can say without a doubt that the bump on these is so light that it almost feels like a linear. Comparing these to MX Browns, they are a bit less scratchy but smoother and don't require any additional modding in my experience. I love them, would highly recommend.

These are my favorite switches right now! They are of moderate volume, with a light but noticeable tactile bump, and a very interesting typing feel due to the housing! They sound amazing on aluminum, although in this video I am using a pp plate. These are a must try for everyone, including linear lovers

It's really good. The cilantro bump was too strong and difficult to type, but it feels just right now. The sound is just right, not too loud. I can type for long periods of time. I use it the most now.

Very smooth for typing and gaming, a nice clacky bright sound and a perfect light bump (brown mx nostalgia). My new favorites!

Best tactiles ive used in quite awhile. Oustanding feel with the light tactile bump not being overly agggressive making them pleasant for extended period of typing. High pitch clack, with a sublte scratchiness to them similar to the sonjas, but k01’s have a light tactile bump.

Impressed with the switches. And good first foray into light tactiles. Sound is as described in the product description.

Switch is great. Might need to reapply lube to mitigate some minor switch to switch inconsistencies in sound if you're OC like me. Reapplying your own lube will greatly reduce the stock tactility of the switch, but of course, your mileage may vary depending on your lubing technique. If you're not too OC about minor inconsistencies in sound, then I do think they can be used stock and be happy with it.

Has a slight scratch reminiscent of Cherry switches. The bump is rounder than MX Browns, the factory lubing is excellent. Definitely recommend if you want to try out a light tactile.

Very nice light tactile with a lower pitch compared to other HMX switches.

I am a linear switch person and bought a little pack of tactiles to try them. I can tell these are quality switches but i don't really apreciate the bump at all. That's why I give them 3 stars. Overall excellent experience with Unikeys!!

This switch is perfect for my build. The bump and the scratch give it a different kind of sound profile than just the usual HMX clack. Makes a boring keyboard sound and feel fun!

The HMX K01 are essentially a high quality Brown switch and it delivers on that! If you're looking for a light tactile switch with a good sound then this is right switch for you!

Sound: The K-01 has higher pitched sound profile, but not too high pitch and is def what I would consider a clacky switch. They are a tad bit thin overall in my opinion, but that isn’t a bad thing just something worth noting. Feel: As a tactile it has a nice moderate bump that is not too prominent and overall has a satisfying feel to it while typing. Due to the nature of the matted texture on the materials used it has that scratchy feeling I know so many people in the community really love. It is very similar to the OG Sonja (Not the HC version) The bottom out is nice and solid, but not too firm or abrupt.

I was looking for a light touch switch for gaming and typing. In some ways it feels similar to a cherry brown but with some differences, it's hard to explain. Highly recommended!
