The reason to name them Hepburn switches is because they reminded me of Hepburn: Byōsoku Go Senchimētoru. XL Studio named them Sakura Fall switches, and I reckon calling them that would be too straightforward.
The Hepburn switches are manufactured by UNIDONDONKEEB, a pretty experienced manufacturer in China, but they mainly focus on making keyboard switches for mass-produced keyboards. These switches are great for the price as they are very smooth and clean out of the factory. Unlike some other budget switches that use excessive lube to eliminate scratchiness and leaf/spring ping, the factory lube on Hepburn switches is decent and precise. From what I can see, the stem sides and bottom housing rails are where most of the lube is. A minimum amount of lube is on the spring and the bottom of the bottom housing to reduce spring noise. I can barely see any lube on the leaf spring, and that is why it was so shocking at first for me as there is barely any leaf spring noise at all.
With the Ly stem, Ly top, and PA30 bottom housing, the Hepburn switches have a clacky bottom-out and a subtle top-out sound. This makes them sound clacky and clean. If you are fine with wing latch top housing and 3-pin, these would definitely make a good fit for your budget keyboard build.
